Please setup your credentials before starting. You can find more information on how to do that here.

Deploying a Instance

  1. Go to the Instance section of the console.

  2. You will see a list of all your instances. If you haven't created any yet, no worries, we will do that now.

  3. Click on the Create Instance button.

  4. Enter the name of your instance or use the default one provided.

  5. Now you will see two options for providers (GCP and AWS). Choose the one you want to use. Use Recommendation Engine to help you choose the best provider for your use case.

  6. Choose the instance type you want to create. We currently support Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian, and Amazon Linux 2.

  7. Choose the size of your instance. Note: You can change this later

  8. Choose the region you want to deploy your instance in. Use Recommendation Engine to help you choose the best region for your use case.

  9. Choose the storage size of your instance. Note: You can change this later

  10. Above you should see the pricing for your configured instance. This is the price per month. You can view more details by hovering over the pricing. This will show you the breakdown of the pricing.

  11. Click on the Deploy button.

  12. You will get a notification on the top right if the process has started. The main page is where you will see the status of your instance. You can refresh the page to see the status.

Connecting to your Instance

Once you have deployed your Instance, click on the three dots on the right side of the instance card. Then click on Connect to Instance.

For AWS this will redirect you to the AWS console. Ensure you are correctly logged in to your AWS account.

For GCP a modal will show up and enter the email that has access to the GCP project. From there you will be redirected to the GCP console. Ensure you are correctly logged in to your GCP account.

As of now, we only support connecting to your instance via the console. We are working on adding more ways to connect to your storage.

Deleting your Instance

Once you have deployed your instance, click on the three dots on the right side of the instance card. Then click on Destroy. This will delete your instance. Note: This action is irreversible.

If for some reason, you are running into errors and you know that your instance has been destroyed. Feel free to click Force delete. This will mark the service as delete on our end. Note: This action is irreversible.

Upgrading/Changing your Instance

Once you have deployed your instance, click on the three dots on the right side of the instance card. Then click on Upgrade Instance. This will show you the upgrade options for your instance. You can choose the new size or storage size for your instance.

This will lead to momentary down-time. Use cautiously

Errors

If you are getting an error while deploying your instance, you can click on the three dots on the right side of the instance card. Then click on View Errors. This will show you the error logs for your instance. You can use these logs to debug your instance deployment.
